LOS ANGELES – The singer Cuba Gooding Sr. died this Thursday in Los Angeles, California, reveals TMZ.
He was found dead in his car. Alert, the rescuers went to the place to resuscitate it, in vain.
The fire department responded to the scene at 12:58 PM PT
Coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter says the cause of death is under investigation, but drug paraphernalia and alcohol were found in the car parked on a busy street, reports Fox News.

Cuba Gooding Senior, a leader of the soul group The Main Ingredient, enjoyed great success with the songs “Everybody Plays the Fool” in 1972 and “Just Do not Want to Be Lonely” in 1974.
The singer was also known as the father of Cuba Gooding Jr., an Oscar winning actor for his role in “Jerry Maguire”.
According to TMZ, the police suspect an overdose. An investigation is underway.
Variety says that police are still investigating the cause of death.
