Russia has a bomb several times more powerful than the GBU-43 that was dropped by Washington on ISIS in Afghanistan. This was reported by the National Interest.
This is the Aviation Thermobaric Bomb of Increased Power (ATBIP), also known by the acronym FOAB, Father of all bombs (father of all bombs). The Russian free-fall bomb would weigh 7 tons, would be four times more powerful than the “mother of all US” bombs and destruction would have a double radius than the GBU-43.
The ATBIP has been successfully tested in September 2007 and would never be used in the course of a conflict.
Thursday the United States dropped against the self-styled Islamic State in Afghanistan bomb no more powerful nuclear in their arsenal: the GBU-43 Massive Ordnance Air Blast bomb (MOAB), also called Mother Of All Bombs, nearly 10 tons.
