Girl 7, Killed by Classmate’s Peanut
Classmate’s peanut kills girl 7
Such a sad and tragic headline. A 7 year old girl was given a peanut by a friend, she then started having difficulty breathing and breaking out in hives.
She went to get help but the school did not have an epi-pen. Had they had one, she could have been saved.
Parents are required to give the school any necessary medical supplies that their child may need and no pen was given.
It is also not a product that the school clinic has stocked. The child’s death has been deemed a tragic accident.
No charges of any kind will be filed against the child who gave the girl the peanut as there was no maliciousness in the gesture.
