Over the last few months the Jaycee Dugard case has been full of strange twists and events that are only continuing to be played out. What happened was Dugard was kidnapped in 1991 and escaped from her captor a few months ago showing up at a local police station. Then, revelations came that her kidnapper had raped her continually over her years in captivity.
As a result, Phillip Garrido was arrested and is charged with kidnapping of Dugard among a laundry list of charges against him. However, the Dugard case only continues to take on a bizarre life of its own with every single development that take place.
The most recent was when Garrido sent a Sacramento T.V. station a letter apologizing to Dugard for kidnapping her. In the letter he claimed that the different sexual frustrations that he had over the years have been solved through the religious experience that he had when he was in jail.
What this shows is that while Garrido could be telling the truth, the reality is that he more than likely is sending these letters to the press in an effort to receive a leniency for the charges that he is facing.
