Boston – Former Vice President Al Gore has issued a challenge to the U.S. to fix the energy crisis.
He wants all electricity to run through wind power, solar power, and other environmentally friendly sources within the next 10 years.
Al Gore received quite a welcome at an energy conference in Washington.
He stated “today I challenge our nation to commit to producing 100 percent of our electricity from renewable energy and truly clean, carbon-free sources within 10 years.”
Gore believes the transition will help the U.S. in both energy and economic problems.
He has taken it upon himself to make global climate change his biggest goal, and has won a Nobel Prize for it.
