
Rimrock Lake – A skydiving plane is reported missing near Rimrock Lake in the central Washington Cascades, according to media reports Monday.
The Yakima Country sheriff’s office say there are 10 people on board the Cessna 208 Caravan.
The plane left Boise around 7:00pm Sunday evening and was expected to land at Shelton, Washington, but never arrived.
A local hunter told police he saw a plane flying very low then heard a crash in the White Pass area around 8:00pm on Sunday.
Officials say that they do have a radar ping from the planes last known location.
As of 3:00pm (EST) Monday morning, the plane has no been located.
The Washington Department of Transportation aviation division is searching for the plane in the air, while the local police department is conducting the search on the ground.
With the hunters statement, the search is being conducted in the Rimrock Lake area.
Officials say the plane’s emergency locator was not activated.
