Washington (EON) - Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld has denied that he was any part of a cover-up to hide the truth as to how Pat Tillman, former NFL star and Army Ranger, died during battle.
When Tillman originally died it was not revealed truthfully how it all happened. The truth finally came out thogh that the death of Pat Tillman was actually due to friendly fire. A House committee was hard at work on Wednesday but was told by Rumsfeld that he was no part of the cover-up to hide the truth.
Rumsfeld joins a long list of people who have denied involvement in the biggest cover-up since the war in Afghanistan and Iraq began. Gen. Richard Myers, Gen. John Abizaid, and others have denied involvement in any way.
Rumsfeld stated “I know that I would not engage in a cover-up. I know that no one in the White House suggest such a thing to me. I know that the men sitting next to me are men of enormous integrity and would not participate in something like that.”
