Washington (EON) – Cindy Sheehan, a well-known anti-war activist, was arrested on Monday at the Capitol for disorderly conduct.

Sheehan was arrested on the charge just after she stated that she woudl run against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi over the refusal to try and impeach President Bush. The idea of impeachment is something which the anti-war activist has been talking about for quite some time now. The California Democrat though has refused to even try out the process.

Sheehan stated that “The Democrats will not hold this administration accountable, so we have to hold the Democrats accountable. And I for one am going to step up to the plate and run against Nancy Pelosi.”

Sheehan was not alone with the arrest as she was arrested along with 45 other protesters who were with her.

Sheehan had a 24-year-old son who was killed in Iraq and still plans to run against Pelosi as an independent.
