Georgia – In Some truly heatening news that (hopefully) ends a maddening and tragic two-year legal farce, today a Georgia judge voided Genarlow Wilson’s 10-year sentence, and converted the felony conviction to a misdemeanor conviction of “aggravated child molestation,†with a 12-month sentence.
Since Wilson has already served 2 1/2 years, that means he’s out.
In addition, under the new ruling, he will not be required to register as a sex offender.
He is likely to be released today. The department of corrections is waiting for the orders.
Amazingly, the prosecutors are expected to appeal the decision.
Though the encounter between Wilson and the other teen, which took place in 2003, was consensual, it was illegal under Georgia law

I believe the right decision has been made. The young man was adament in being innocent while the others must live with the reality of being registered as a sex offender. The prosecuters really need 2 let this go, they are sitll trying to convict this man.

It’s about time! Much Pray and support goes out to this young man, his family and future. Paris Hilton got less time for doing something far more damaging than this! Halleluia, there is a God! I pray that he succeeds in his life as he comes out of jail and lives a promising good life! The Best to you Genarlow…!!!

Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly. The injustice and the bigotry that has occured here from the lower courts to the state attornery general is sad to say the least. I have lost all hope and respect in this country’s justice system because of the tyrants that try to impose there impeding powers that be to establish themselves amongsth the other class of citizens. For Mr. Baker I pray that God will take mercy on his soul and forgive him for his unlawful use of torture in such a hayness way, the mark of your ignorance is the depth of your belief in injustice and tragedy. What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the Master calls the butterfly.
