Microsoft has revealed their new program of Windows 7.
It has been heard that Microsoft will be offering a special sale of the program when consumers buy a PC with Vista before the open market of the program is launched.
Tuesday Microsoft announced that they would start selling the Windows 7 on October 22 of this year. They indicated that the special deal would be either a free or discounted upgrade before this program is on the market.
Microsoft remained quite on the details of the computer of price and what type of version of Widows Vista the program is eligible on.
Brandon LeBlanc the spokesman for Microsoft stated in a blog that purchasing a for retailers and OEMs are going to be offering a deal to the upgrade to Windows 7 for customers that purchase a PC that is qualified for the program. More information will be stated closer to the launch of Windows 7.
A certain source said that Microsoft will bring an upgrade for Windows 7 and it could be as early as January 2010.
Windows 7 will be made in a Home Basic edition, but Microsoft only plans on selling it to emerging markets. Some individuals wonder if Microsoft is not doing the Home Basic in the United States because of the lawsuit Vista Capable brought of the accusation of Microsoft misleading customers in the January 2007 release of Vista by selling PC’s that were said to run Vista when the only version available on the computers were the stripped down Home Basic version. A lot of users were frustrated with the Vista program that didn’t work with the various types of hardware and programs that is commonly used on PC’s.
Steve Guggenheimer, an employee of Microsoft stated at the Computex 2009 trade show located in Taipei that the feedback from their partners is great and they are looking forward to offer Windows 7 out to the consumers just in time for the holidays.
We will see how well the consumers like it when the program is released.
