Approval And Enterprise Adoption Will Likely Take A Long Time
New York City- Despite their long successful search engine history, Google Inc, the makers of the new web browser “Chrome,” face a long road before their web browser is likely to face enterprise adoption.
It’s early and the Chrome browser has only just been released, and people are slow to change and suddenly use another browser.
IT Administrators are wary of new kids on the computer block as new browsers such as Chrome are unproven factors, and no one knows how well they will or will not respond.
Companies are also notorious in being slow to adopt new products, so in many ways the Chrome browser has a long road of acceptance and having to prove to the Computer and IT world that it is ready for action.
Google has released the browser, and they hope that it will do battle eventually with the top of the block IE Internet Explorer version 8, the latest release from Microsoft.
But most people in the industry are saying it will be a number of years before Chrome poses any real threat to Microsoft or to other browsers on the marketplace such as Safari and Firefox.
Both of these other browsers have also faced long acceptance journeys and both are slowly coming into the public consciousness.
Links such as the Firefox link with online magazines through the iPhone program have helped gain some market share and there are other such links that may eventually prove key to Chrome gaining the acceptance that Google is shooting for.
