
Internet Phone Calls Will Cause Systems To Come To Life
New York- One of the newest features that will come standard with new Intel Corp. computers is the Wake-on-Phone feature, that will help consumers have their systems come out of power saving sleep mode if they get a Internet phone call.
Current types of Computers have to normally be on fully to get a call, and this can make their response and activity impractical and energy wasters.
The new feature will be found on Intel Motherboards, and will be termed Remote Wake Capability.
The new feature will be allow computers to activate their microphone and loudspeaker to alert the user, then give the user the option to have the incoming call connected.
The newest feature, the Intel motherboards will be for desktop computers, and will have to be connected to the Internet using a Ethernet cable.
It will not work with modem or dial up connection, and Wi-Fi connection will not function in Sleep mode.
The system and motherboard function will only wake up the computer to services that the user has stipulated, and will not provide wake functions unless it is purposely set up ahead of time.
