Hacker Children Mounting Attacks On Web Sites
Georgia, Eastern Europe- It appears that attacks that have been mounted on different Georgian Web sites may not be caused by Russian attackers at all, but rather youth hackers that are taking advantage of the chaos and battle conditions.
The founder of the Zero Day Emergency Response team has acknowledged that attacks have been impacting their Web Sites but that it appears it is from perhaps some over excited youthful hackers.
Gadi Evron is the Zero Day founder, and according to him there have been several bionet attacks but they have been poorly organized, and they do not appear to be political in nature.
Georgia is under a number of DdoS attacks and the exact source has not been found, but may be simply a case of young hackers attempting to take advantage of all the chaos in the region.
Last year, in May of 2007 the Baltic nation of Estonia was attacked and the infrastructure for the region crippled for several days.
The attacks on Georgia are more intense than the Estonia attacks, but do not appear to be as well organized. The exact source of both series of attacks has not been precisely found.
