Sales This Quarter Surpasses All Expectations
Cupertino, CA- In an independent analysis of the projected sales, Apple Inc. is expected to sell nearly 5 million iPhones this quarter, with continuing sales projected to be strong.
Gene Munster is an independent analyst at Piper Jaffray, and his staff of professional analysts and observers have spent over 25 hours at local Apple stores doing a survey of the number of customers that were actively purchasing iPhones.
Their conclusion is that Apple will outstrip their wildest expectations with sales of 4.47 iPhones this quarter and the possible sales of even more next quarter.
Apple sells about 95 –100 iPhone 3G phones each day at each of the 188 stores and that iPhone sales have remained steady, even increasing in some locations.
While the amount has not wavered, it has even increased at many of the Apple store locations.
A year ago the average sales per store was 21 phones per store, so the demand for the newest Apple iPhone has remained very strong, even growing in many areas.
This new estimate has increased from 4.1 million phones to the current 4.47 projection.
Best Buy stores are also expected to give Apple a pop increase in iPhone sales with added sales to add to their sales figures.
