New Chip Technology Pits Manufacturers In Competition

Silicon Valley, CA-The industry is largely holding it’s breathy as the expected announcement from Intel will bring it into sharp competition against Advanced Micro Devices Inc. in the Gaming silicon chip market.

Intel says that their new chip technology is being fast tracked to be ready in 2009.

The new technology, called “Larrabee,” will be available in their new line of computer chips and products that are promising to help revolutionize the computer chip scene, and that will put the pressure on AMD and Nvidia to keep up

The new quad Core press processors will serve to showcase the new Intel technology and will be available in 12 to 48 different calculating platforms.

One of the chips that Intel is marketing is a chip that maintains an amazing 240 processors on a single chip.

The 2008 Siggraph Show is scheduled to be held next week, and Intel is rolling out is new chip and line ahead of the show, trying to gain market share and advantage prior to the show.

Close to 30,000 computer and computer graphics and Interactive technology professionals are expected to gather next week in Los Angeles for the Siggraph.
