But Communications Company Reports No Shortages
Montreal- The company that is solely able to sell the iPhone in Canada, Rogers Communications is reporting that the demand for iPhones is still more than supply, but that there is no active iPhone shortages at the current time.
The new Apple 3G iPhone from Apple Inc, went on sale on July 11th, and since then the mobile phones have been literally flying of the shelves.
While this is a healthy thing for the Apple iPhone marketing plan, it has created a backlog among some of the prospective customers in some areas, some of who have been to their local Rogers location to purchase the new iPhone but only to find the current stock was sold out- “Againâ€.
In some cases citizens seeking to purchase the phone are sill waiting, a few have been waiting for several days due to the high demand and swiftness that the phone is being purchased.
Consumers have waited for several hours at some locations only to get to the front of the line and find that the rush shipment had been sold out.
“Sales nationwide in Canada and internationally continue to outstrip supply, and we are shipping iPhones as swiftly as we can receive new shipments from Apple,†said spokeswoman Odette Coleman.
Odette Coleman is the Rogers Communications Spokeswoman who spoke about the new iPhone situation with the media.
