President Of Platforms Kevin Johnson To Leave Company

Redmond, WA- In a management restructuring, the CEO of Microsoft announced today that the President of Operating System Platforms, Kevin Johnson, would be departing the company.

Kevin Johnson leaves Microsoft after loyally serving with the software giant since 1992.

He will still be in the business so to speak, as he is moving on to a job at Juniper Networks as their new Computer CEO.

Juniper is a $12 billion dollar hardware network manufacturer.

The departments of Windows and Windows Live will now be reporting directly to Steve Ballmer, the CEO of Microsoft.

The war that Microsoft seems to be losing in the Search realm is not over, but any efforts to fight without Yahoo in its stable seems doomed on the short term for failure.

All is not lost, and Microsoft is far from giving up, but Google definitely seems to have the advantage in the Search engine department, and that seems unlikely to change anytime soon.

The war with Google over who will be Search Engine king is one that is shaping up to be years long, perhaps even decades in length.

Microsoft needs to reconsider its position and work to acquire Yahoo, and with them in their stable, then they may be able to be competitive in the Search engine game.
