Users Will Be Able To Create Sell And Share Games For Game System

Redmond, WA- The computer giant Microsoft has announced that it will be opening their flagship Xbox 360 gaming system to user generated content.

This means that users or designers will be able to create, sell and share different games written for the Xbox 360.

This is an unusual step for a major game manufacturer and almost unheard of in the halls of Microsoft, which tends to be very guarded with its proprietary material and computer hardware and software.

Microsoft made the announcement at this years Gamefest 2008 one of the annual gaming events co sponsored by Microsoft game technology interests.

There is a lot of interest by young developers who want to try and make their mark in the gaming world, and it is believed that this is a healthy step for Microsoft to take.

Whether or not Microsoft would later seek to impose licensing or other restrictions on user created content games remains to be seen, but at this point the horizon is wide open, and many user generated games may be written over the coming months.

Microsoft recently released an updated Xbox 360, which it hopes will seize back the gaming market from rival Nintendo.
