New System Works To Connect Users

California-Instant messaging programs can now be accessed through iPhone’s Safari browsers.

The new instant message system Google talk is available through the Safari browser, and also will work with the iPod Touch.

There are a few minor differences from the normal typical desktop version, but for the most part Google has kept it as similar as possible.

For those who are daily users of Gtalk or Google Talk this enables them to access their chat friends and contacts as a new function with the new Apple iPhone.

The software is for the most part browser based, and you just point your iPhone Safari browser to the Google Web site slash talk. There is not any need to install or download anything.

If you navigate away from the web site while on your phone you will be listed as “unavailable” to anyone that was previously chatting with you on the Internet.

The overall look and feel of the new system is a little different from the regular desktop version, but the function has not been compromised, neither are the features or availability.

Google has managed to bring the connectivity that it achieved with desktop computers to the iPhone, and it should be interesting to see if other conventional instant messengers will follow suit.
