Washington – Google has launched a new application known as the Google Media Server, aimed at bringing all of the entertainment from your PC, and showcasing it right on your TV.
The Google Media Server will connect to any device supporting Universal Plug and Play, or UPnP.
Devices which will support the new app include the Sony PS3, Xbox 360, as well as certain TVs.
Google will be making another step towards home entertainment with this new app, which will only work on Windows machines for now.
It will require you to install the Google Desktop app and uses the Desktop Search feature. YouTube is also supported.
