Nationwide Plan Rolled Out By National Carrier
Dallas, TX- T-Mobile jumped into the national home phone marketplace with a new offering, a $10 dollar nationwide home phone system that would replace many of the phones operating today.
The new system would allow unlimited home phone use nationwide with one number, using a GSM sim chip and a mobile router.
It would utilize the Internet and the user simply takes the phone and plugs it into any broadband connection anywhere in the country and then is able to make and receive calls on an unlimited basis.
The move is seen by insiders in the industry to build a loyal customer base, with the $10 dollar a month fee it is not seen as an independent attempt to make money but rather as a plan to compliment other T-Mobile services and give retailers an opportunity to bundle or sell other services to the customer who receives this new service.
The service will be called “T-Mobile @ Home and will make its appearance on July 2nd, ahead of the national rollout on July 11th of the new Apple 3G iPhone.
This scheduling is also seen as a opportunity for T-Mobile to steal a little of the thunder via timing from the iPhone national debut.
