Boston – As of Tuesday night, Mozilla’s newly released Firefox 3 has already been downloaded over 1.5 million times by users.
The popular Firefox 3 web browser was released on Tuesday afternoon around 1:00pm EST, Tech Crunch reported.
Many had trouble downloading Firefox 3 throughout the day due Mozilla servers being overwhelmed.
Mozilla was hopeful they would be able to break the single-day record for most downloads in a day, and get into the Guinness Book of World Records.
It appears they may be well on their way according to the numbers late Tuesday night.
