Los Angeles -Today the highly anticipated new version of the internet browser Firefox has finally released.
Firefox 3 (beta) is expected to set a Guinness World record for most downloads in 24 hours with over 5 million downloads, according to the Los Angeles Times.
However, to set the single day download record, Firefox will have a bit of work as it wasn’t available for download until 1:00pm EST.
Further hindering the lofty goal is the fact that some bloggers have reported an exceptionally long download time of the new browser.
With the release of version 3, Net Applications predicts that Firefox will have a 20 percent share of the internet browser market.
