New York – Apple has made a lot of positive and technological savvy improvements on both its iPhone and its iPod products in the last several months. With the latest addition, it effectively doubles the memory available on the devices.
The new phones and iPod related devices now feature 3gigs of memory.
So why are customers unhappy?
It appears that while the increase is well received, the additional cost of $ 100 dollars is not.
Many of the comments and reactions among the Apple product faithful are dubious, and some outright distrustful. They seem to think that Apple is somehow putting the screws to them, or cheating them, and feel the one hundred dollar increase is not warranted.
One user put it this way: “We are not just sheep. After we spend somewhere between five hundred and twelve hundred bucks for one of these i devices, iBook, iPod, iPhone, suddenly there is another improvement that takes more money. Apple, ENOUGH is enough.â€
Much of this attitude and sentiment appears to be spreading across the web.
Part of the reaction is that once people pay big bucks for their Apple device, that they resent having to shell out even more for an upgrade.
A majority of new users were waiting until after the MacWorld conference, to purchase their phone wanting to see if a new phone would be offered with 3gig storage.
Now just about twenty days since the MacWorld Conference started, and a week or so after the end of the return date for phones purchased around January 15th, the new updated storage form of the i devices are offered.
Not a very intelligent customer friendly move on the part of Apple.
