Is Sammy Sosa Sick?
Sammy Sosa has appeared in public looking a little pale. The once naturally bronzed baseball legend has shocked his fans with his new lighter look. I think we have seen another famous guy go through this very same skin whitening phase.
Sosa claims the white skin is caused by a night cream he has been using. He claims between the lighting and the bleaching skin cream, it made him appear very pale. He is not suffering any illnesses, and is actually in talks with the skin cream company to do some marketing for it. The bleaching is supposedly a side effect and was not the purpose of the cream.
His skin is definitely lighter, but on a native man from the Dominican Republic, it does not look natural. His rep claims he started using the product to make his sun damaged skin softer. The light skin makes the man look like he is in very poor health, or has been hidden in a cave for years. He has not said what the name of the cream is, only that it is European.

Sammy Sosa is getting whiter by the day. Yes, you read that correctly. He claims he is using a skin softener, but anyone who uses a skin softener without knowing it will change their skin color might be lying. Is Sammy Sosa someone that would tell a lie?
First it was the corked bat that he used ‘by accident.’ Then there was the steroid controversy (he claimed he never took steroids in his life). A few years later, it was pretending that he couldn’t speak a word of English while sitting in front of congress.
Is it possible Sammy is telling the truth about the skin cream? Of course, but you can form your own judgments.
It’s really sad considering that in the late 1990s Sammy Sosa, along with Mark McGwire, was the king of the world. In 1998, he and McGwire embarked on a home run record breaking competition that had revived the sport of baseball. Little did anyone know at the time that they were cheating.
This time, Sammy is not cheating, just most likely lying. Even if he is telling the truth, why is he wearing green contact lenses? This has identity crisis written all over it.

Despite appearances, former Cubs slugger Sammy Sosa does not have the same skin condition as Michael Jackson did, according to Cubs employee Rebecca Polihronis,
“He is going through a rejuvenation process for his skin,” Polihronis told the Chicago Tribune. “Women have it all of the time. He was surprised he came out looking so white. I thought it was a body double. Part of (the photo appearance) is just the lighting.
“He is in the middle of doing a cleansing process to his skin. The picture is deceiving. He said, ‘If you saw me in person, you would be surprised. When you see me in person, it is not going to seem like the picture.’
When the shocking photo started to make it’s way around the internet, many were wondering what happened.
“People who saw him in person did not react the same way. He can’t believe it is such a big deal,” said Polihronis.
A story in the Chicago Tribune notes: “Among the possible side effects for some laser skin rejuvenation methods include discoloration of the skin. The treated area may become lighter or darker in appearance.
Sosa’s Major League career began with the Texas Rangers in 1989. After a stint with the Chicago White Sox, Sosa became a member of the Chicago Cubs in 1992 a
