On August 19, 2009, a sex tape surfaced on the internet starring Grey’s Anatomy star Eric Dane, his wife Rebecca Gayheart, and former Miss Teen USA, Kari Ann Peniche. However, there was no visible act of sexual intercourse recorded. The tape featured the threesome wondering about the house naked, lounging in a hot tub, and discussing their would-be porn names. So, if it was a consensual evening between three adults, then what is all the fuss about?
During a stay at Dr. Drew’s Celebrity Rehab, Kari Ann Peniche roomed with country singer star, Mindy McCready who has gone on the record claiming that her “evil personified” roommate openly bragged about her former line of work in the sex-for hire industry. Peniche has been under surveillance by the LAPD for this alleged illegal activity.
After the tape hit the internet, Dane and his attorney are reported to have called Peniche in response to the leak to inquire about McCready. Peniche believes that McCready, in an act of venegance, stole her computer hard drive while they bunked together in rehab. However, McCready is not taking these allegations laying down. She is firing back, adamantly stating that she had nothing to do with this tape hitting the internet, that she never wanted to be dragged into this, and that Peniche is spreading vicious rumors about her.
On Friday, August 21, 2009 the LAPD has officially announced that there is an open, on-going investigation into the sex tape and the activity contained therein. Not due to the sex, or lack thereof, but due to other activity that signifies the threesome were engaged in other illegal activity — the possible use of a controlled substance.

The biggest thing that has been floating around the celebrity world over the past two weeks is none other than the sex tape that has been revealed featurng Eric Dane, better known as ‘McDreamy’ from Grey’s Anatomy, and his wife actress Rebecca Gayheart. Also featured in the video is former Miss Teen USA, Kari Ann Peniche, who herself has recently been a staple on reality television.
With this latest scandal, a lot of dirt has been dug up about Gayheart and Peniche. Gayheart was shown in The National Inquirer in 2003 in a picture with her in a bathtub with an unidentified woman smoking a crack pipe. She also gained notoriety in 2001, when she was convicted of vehicular manslaughter in the death of 9 year old, Jorge Cruz, Jr. Gayheart admitted that she had been talking on her cell phone when cars that had stopped to let the boy cross the street, Gayheart swerved to miss the cars and instead killed the boy. She recieved 3 years probation for the incident.
Karri Ann Peniche won Miss Teen USA in 2002 but lost her crown when it was revealed that she had posed for Playboy. In early 2009, Peniche was removed from the show Dr. Drew Pinsky’s Celebrity Rehab: Sex Addiction for throwing a vase at a fellow cast member.

“Grey’s Anatomy” Star Bares All in Sex Tape A purported “sex tape” of “Grey’s Anatomy” star Eric Danes is making the Internet rounds, but his attorney denies that it is—strictly speaking—a “sex video.”
Earlier this week, Gawkers Defamer.com posted an edited version of the “sex tape.” The video shows a totally nude Eric Danes with his wife, actress Rebecca Grayheart, and former Miss Teen USA Kari Ann Peniche. But the threesome wasn’t having sex.
Despite the wild rumors of a video sex romp, the Gawker website denies that there was any actual sex shown in the video.
What is shown, according to Gawker, is the three intoxicated, but nude, celebrities passing around a video camera while creating porn names for each other. The New York Daily News, who has presumably viewed the tape, confirms that there was no sexual activity on the tape.
Meanwhile, Danes, Greayheart, and Peniche deny that there was any three-way sexual activity between them off camera, as well.
Peniche, who said that she had stored the video on the hard drive of her computer, is accusing former roommate Mindy McCready of stealing, and leaking, it to Gawkers out of revenge after an argument. Peniche has filed a report with the Los Angeles Police Department blaming McCready for the video heist. The two women had been contestants, and roomies, together on the reality TV show, “Celebrity Rehab.”
Marty Singer, the attorney representing Danes and Grayheart, is threatening to sue anyone who publishes this 2-year-old, private video of the naked threesome.
Many celebrities are learning these days that if you don’t want something to show up on the Internet it’s best if you just don’t do it all. Regardless of how personal a photo is or how hard you try to keep a tape from leaking out to the media, the public somehow always manages to get a hold of things best left in the bedroom. The 12 minute long video of “Grey’s Anatomy” actor Eric Dane, his actress wife Rebecca Gayheart and former Miss Teen USA Kari Ann Peniche has recently hit cyber-space, giving the public a peak at the very inebriated threesome as they exchange some very interesting pillow talk. For the majority of the video, Dane, Gayheart and Peniche are seen discussing what their porn-star names would be based on their childhood pets, as well as discussing the best way to get plastic rubber ducks to stop quacking. Throughout the duration of the tape, all three participants are naked and obviously under the influence of several substances, not all of them legal. However, this is not the first time that Gayheart has found herself in all her glory splashed across the newspapers; in 2003, Gayheart was photographed naked and holding a crack pipe.
Currently, none of the celebrities’ PR representatives have commented, nor have any of the celebrities seen in the tape come forward to publicly apologize or explain their behavior. However, Dane and Gayheart’s lawyer is reportedly issuing threats against gossip websites such as TMZ, citing that posting the tape was unlawful because it was “personal and private.” But, as recent events have shown us, “personal and private” mean little to the public when it comes to compromising photos.

Eric Dane is most known for his role on the TV show Grey’s Anatomy in which he plays Dr. Mark Sloan. He also played bit parts on a variety of other popular TV shows. He has also appeared in numerous Hollywood movies including Open Water 2. He is now also featured in his own soft porn video that hit the Internet and is now a huge craze. His sex tape is 12 minutes long and shows the star naked and discussing possible names for his sex movie. The three speak of what they say is there alter ego names and they eventually come to name themselves after their pets calling themselves Buster, Rambo and Fifi.
Later on in the film appearing to be drunk the three head to the bathroom. The two ladies both naked are seen lounging out in the jacuzzi as Eric Dane takes control as cameraman. Kari Ann Peniche is seen smoking what looks like marijuana. She was crowned Miss teen USA in 2002 but was stripped of her title after posing for playboy. It is not sure how the video came out or how the taping situation came about but social sites and media sites everywhere are buzzing with this new sex tape. Eric Dane had made no comment on racy video so far which has been viewed by so many already all over the Internet.
Every now and then you will see different videos released of various Hollywood couples engaging in questionable activities on video. In most cases these different events involve sex, drugs or both, where it is not uncommon to see the scandalous video released that has the potential to embarrass many different celebrities. Some good examples of this would be the Pamela Anderson / Tommy Lee sex tape or the Paris Hilton sex video. Adding to this illustrious list of video voyeurs is now Rebecca Gayheart and Eric Dane Kari Anne Peniche.
What happened is a 12 minute sex video was released on Gawker.com, where the two along with Kari Anne Peniche are seen in the video completely nude. Then during the 12 minute video you can hear Rebecca Gayheart saying that she is, “Very high” and needs to lie down. Next you hear a conversation between Gayheart and Peniche where Gayhart says to Peniche, “We need to erase everything before you make your movie.” At which point Peniche says, “We will.” For Peniche, this follows number of high profile incidents involving sex such as: being treated for sex addiction on Dr. Drew’s Celebrity Rehab, where she was asked to leave the after she allegedly swung at a cameraman and was accused of taking another roommate belongings.
What this example shows is the overall image that celebrities try to present to the general public. Where in the case of Gayheart and Dane appearing to be this happy couple yet beneath the surface they are engaging in many different activities that could be consider questionable at best. This can be seen when you look at the video where you heart Gayheart talking about how she is high on drugs and by their association with Peniche. Who needless to say is walking circus act. Clearly neither Dane nor Gayheart used good judgment and the overall effects of this video could potentially damage their careers.

The tape is said to have plenty of female nudity but Dane’s “anatomy” is not shown. It’s stated that they all take turns in front of the camera in different stages of dress, or undress.
In addition, they seem to be enjoying themselves. Also in the tape is footage of Rebecca Gayheart and Kari Ann Peniche taking a bath/Jacuzzi together with Eric taping them.
The women speak of being high and the three of them discuss what they would use as porn names.
The twelve minute video was leaked and put on the internet earlier today. Representatives for Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart say that they will sue anyone who publicizes the tape.
They also stress it’s not TECHNICALLY a sex tape. Okay, it’s a naked tape. The tape is said to feature the threesome just hanging around naked besides the bath/Jacuzzi scene.
