Since Jason Pleiffer released the homosexual relationship he had, he claimed, with Michael Jackson, Dr. Klein, his employer and Michael Jackson’s dermatologist, who confirmed these assertions, he has received death threats, violent and homophobic, by phone, fax, and email. According to a source, someone told him on the phone “I’ll put a bullet in the head.

Both men have hired bodyguards, and alerted the FBI. Jason Pleiffer live in private rental with friends.

Detectives working on the Jackson case wrapped up the investigation last month, and the official document will be presented to the Los Angeles district attorney.

A source revealed that the investigation was very thorough and is now complete, providing sufficient evidence to prosecute Dr. Murray.

The case is complicated, because the doctor broke no laws by administering the drug to Jackson. However, he may still be charged with involuntary manslaughter, due to negligence.

Conrad Murray continued to treat patients following Jackson’s death, since no charges were pressed against him immediately following the incident.

Last November, it was reported that authorities were waiting until 2010 to make a decision on Murray’s arrest. Los Angeles Police Commander Patrick Gannon stated, “A decision (on whether to prosecute) will be made in 2010. It is not going to be made this year.”

Murray has hired J. Michael Flanagan, who defended Britney Spears for her own hit and run case in 2007. Flanagan says he has experience in cases involving Propofol, the drug alleged to be administered to Jackson right before he died. He won a manslaughter acquittal for a nurse who was tried in the only other Los Angeles criminal case involving Propofol.

Additional sources have told newspapers such as The Los Angeles Times that Murray will most likely face involuntary manslaughter charges and The Associated Press is also reporting that prosecutors plan to seek an indictment against Murray for involuntary manslaughter.

This family favourite brought in $31 million in its opening weekend. Michael Jackson’s concert documentary “This Is It” dropped to second place in its second week adding another $14 million for a total of $57.9 million domestically.

Falling in just behind “This Is It” with $13.3 million was “The Men Who Stare at Goats”; a new comedy starring George Clooney, Ewan McGregor, Jeff Bridges and Kevin Spacey.

Debuting in fourth this weekend was the thriller starring Mila Jovovich called “The Fourth Kind” which earned $12.5 million. Finally, rounding out the top five with $8.6 million was “Paranormal Activity”, a supernatural thriller that cost only $15,000 to produce and has now earned close to $100 million since its release on September 25.

Joe claims he relied on his famous and wealthy son for support. He said Michael would give the money to his mother Katherine who would then give it to Joe.

Joe was not mentioned in MJ’s will, he split his estate among his mother, children and various charities.

“He does not have a regular or steady source of income, and he was dependent upon the money provided by his son, Michael Jackson, through his wife, Katherine Jackson, for his support,” the filing stated.

“It was quite surprising to learn of the request,” Howard Weitzman, an attorney for the administrators of Jackson’s estate, said in a statement. “Mr. Jackson’s petition will be considered as are all requests for money from Michael’s estate.”

According to sources, Joe’s itemized monthly expenses included:

$1,200 a month in rent for his Vegas home
$2,500 to eat out
$1,000 on entertainment, gifts and vacations;
$2,000 on air travel
$3,000 on hotels.

Joe may have to cut back on some of that spending since a judge denied his request for an expedited hearing.

Some leaked footage from Michael Jackson’s upcoming film This is It shows a very thin MJ practising his hit “Human Nature.”

The movie features MJ’s rehearsal footage leading up to his O2 Arena concerts which were cancelled due to his untimely death.

Despite previous reports which suggested the King Of Pop looked “wobbly” and “sick,” the nearly 1-minute of leaked footage shows a rather strong and confident Jackson — albeit he does look very skinny.

Michael Jackson’s This is It will hit theatres on 28th for a limited two-week run.

In Mexico City, nearly 13,000 Jackson look-alikes performed “Thriller” for a new world record. In Las Vegas, Michael Jackson was awarded a star on the Palms Casino Resort’s Walk of Fame. In New York, filmmaker Spike Lee hosted a birthday party for Jackson in a Brooklyn park. Despite some heavy rains, thousands of fans attended. On the beach of Puri, a city in the east Indian state of Orissa, sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik and his students from the Golden Sand Art Institute created a sand sculpture of the King of Pop, complete with a fifteen foot guitar. Even Google created a special logo to commemorate Jackson’s 51st birthday.

As fans around the world celebrated in many different ways Michael Jackson’s life and legacy, some observed a minute of silence to pay their respects to the pop icon. To his fans, Michael Jackson was the greatest and most influential entertainer who ever lived. Despite his troubled life and eccentric behavior, Jackson has cemented a place in history that may never be duplicated by another performer.
