Brooke Hundley, the former ESPN production assistant who had an affair with ESPN baseball analyst Steve Philips, wen on Good Morning America today to give her side of the story.

“I had a friend come stay with me because he was concerned … that mentally I would not be able to take much more,” a teary-eyed Hundley told Kate Snow of ABC’s “Good Morning America.”

“I’ve been called things by the public that no woman should ever be called,” she said. “I couldn’t go a day without getting, you know, 200 messages in my inbox from people that have never met me, just labeling, just calling me names. I’ve been called the ‘C’ word. I’ve been called a whore. I’ve been called a homewrecker.”

Hundley, 22, said she reached her breaking point when “legitimate” newspapers began running with the story,

“I think people are so quick to make a judgment without ever … I don’t know if they want to know the details,” Hundley said. “It’s almost like, ‘Here’s a great story. Here’s a great chance for me to destroy a person,’ without any sense of really thinking about the fact that there’s a human being behind those words.”

Hundley, who said she was never the one pushing the relationship, hopes Phillips “would grow up and take responsibility for his own actions.”

Marni Phillips, Steve’s wife had filed for divorce back on September 14th and the ESPN network had fired him. “His ability to be an effective representative for ESPN has been significantly and irreparable damaged, and it became evident it was time to part ways.” stated Josh Krulewitz, a network spokesman.

Soon after Phillips admitted himself in to a sex rehab clinic, where he was been maintaining a low profile.

Serena Williams Stirs Up Yet Another Controversy

Serena Williams is just one of many athletes who have posed in the nude for the ESPN body issue magazine. However, Serena Williams is taking the most heat for being on the cover of the magazine that hit the stands today.

Williams is no novice when it comes to creating controversy. She is still being investigated by the International Tennis Federation, for her recent outbursts at her last match. The ITF may ban Williams from the next two grand slams. She has just regained her No. 1 status in the world rankings. Critics think this latest stunt is yet another reason Williams should be fined or banned from playing any upcoming grand slams.

The pose drawing fire shows a naked Williams sitting cross legged, with her arm covering her breasts. Although nothing is seen that should not be, the pose is considered to be too risky by some standards. The magazine has featured numerous athletes in similar poses, covering their naked bodies with posing or athletic equipment.

ESPN has dubbed the spread as the bodies we want. The athletes featured are not runway models, nor do they have the skinny, underfed looked. The athletes featured have the ideal bodies for their chosen sport. They work long and hard to achieve these bodies, and ESPN is honoring their efforts.

ESPN is releasing its first issue of the magazine Body Issues with Serena Williams striking a nearly nude pose on the cover. In the photo Serena is nude covering her breasts with one hand while covering her private parts with the other. According to the magazines Editor and Chief Gary Belsky, “The athletes are a part of the bodies we want section essentially our version of the best bodies in sports.”

What this shows is that like in life sex plays a dominant role in world of sports. With athletes now being more than just a great athlete, instead they are becoming sex symbols. This can be seen by looking no further than the Serena Williams photographs, why else would she agree to have her picture taken in such a position? She obviously has fame, notoriety as well as wealth the only logical explanation is to be seen as something beyond the world of sports.
