A German man alleged an extortion plot toward Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber.
Police are on the move in Germany in search of the man that has threatened Crawford and her family with a picture of her 8 year old daughter bound to a chair and gagged.
It has been stated in a court document that the pictures were taken of the little girl’s former nanny earlier this past year. The then seven year old stated to her parents that were not aware of the photo even being taken, that the picture was part of a game that they played called “cops and robbers”.
How Edis Kayalar took the photo from the nanny is really unknown, but allegedly took it and has made many attempts to get Crawford and her family to fork over the money.
The suspects name is Edis Kayalar. He is a male model that was just deported back to Germany from the United States in September. Reports say that Kayalar was demanding $100,000 for the picture to the Crawford family.
If Kayalar is found guilty he could get up to 2 years in prison for the case.
Famous model and spokeswoman Cindy Crawford has been targeted in an extortion plot.
The accused perpetrator of this plot is a young male model named Edis “Eddie” Kayalar, age 26.
The plot began with a photo of her 7 year-old daughter, reportedly taken by a former nanny. The photo shows Cindy Crawford’s daughter bound and gagged to a chair. Authorities have said that the child participated in a ‘cops and robbers’ game with nanny when the photo was taken.
The model’s representative has issued a statement denying her previous knowledge of the photo.
Eddie Kayalar is an acquaintance of the former nanny who took the photo and has demanded $100,000.
He has promised to release the photo if his demands are not met.
Kayalar is a recent deportee to Germany where he is now facing one count of extortion charges. If convicted, he could face a prison sentence of up to two years. The nanny, whose name has not been released, has not been charged.
