The Philadelphia Eagles have owned the Dallas Cowboys ever since their head coach Andy Reid took over. They also prevented the Cowboys from making the playoffs last season by beating them 44-6. In add to that, the Eagles now have the biggest play offense in the NFL with young studs like LeSean McCoy, Desean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin, and Brent Celek. Needless to say, things weren’t looking very bright for the Cowboys as they headed into town for a Sunday night showdown.
All that said, Tony Romo came in with a level head, and for the fourth week in a row, showed that he can play with poise and composure opposed to playing erratic. He threw to all of his receivers and once to Miles Austin in the second half for a 49-yard touchdown that proved to be the game winner. Romo ended up with 302 yards, one touchdown pass and one interception.
Toward the end of the game, Romo needed to complete one short pass (an out) to Jason Witten to seal the deal. The Eagles were out of timeouts and the Cowboys had a new set of downs to work with. Romo could be seen smiling in the huddle.
