Toronto – A published report says some NHL governors have informally talked about the possibility of putting a second NHL team in the Toronto area.

And it would NOT be in Hamilton. They seem to agree that would be too damaging to the Buffalo Sabres.

The Maple Leafs would not automatically reject the idea of local competition according to Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment President Richard Peddie.

There seems to be some disagreement as to whether it should be an expansion team or a re-located franchise.
