Boston (EON) - The New England Patriots have had a rough PR month as their superstar Rodney Harrison was suspended for HGH and now Coach Belichick has come out and apologized for the Patriots cheating.
Commissioner of the NFL Roger Goodell is looking into whether or not the Patriots cheated using illegal videotapes which they recorded of the New York Jets signals during the Week 1 game of the NFL season.
Belichick apologized on Wednesday and stated that he has spoken to the commissioner Goodell about the rule and how it is interpreted.
A video camera was confiscated from Patriots video assistant Matt Estrella by NFL security on Sunday when he was working at the New York Jets, New England Patriots game which the Pats won easily 38-14.
Belichick issued a statement stating that he has spoken to Goodell “about a videotaping procedure during last Sunday’s game and my interpretation of the rules. Although it remains a league matter, I want to apologize to everyone who has been affected, most of all ownership, staff, and players. Following the league’s decision, I will have further comment.”
