Samsung introduced two new smartphones this week: the 5.8-inch Galaxy S8 and the 6.2-inch Galaxy S8 +. The main asset of the new model is obviously its screen, called Infinity, which occupies practically all the space of the front with a wider format than the traditional 16: 9.
The biggest revolution of the Galaxy S8 is visible to the naked eye. Its design has been completely reworked, for an even finer finish. Exit the home button: the AMOLED curved screen of the smartphone is now edge-to-edge, totaling 83% of the front panel. Samsung calls it the Infinite Display which offers unrivaled image quality. If the screen is bigger than ever (5.8 inches for S8, 6.2 inches for the S8 Plus), this new design makes it possible to keep dimensions reasonable. Navigation is done via virtual buttons and the fingerprint reader is moved to the back of the camera, next to the photo module.
This is the big novelty of the Galaxy S8! A new virtual assistant is born. Named Bixby, it is accessible directly via a dedicated button on the edge of the smartphone. Bixby is able to understand the voice commands while analyzing what happens on the screen. He can also describe a monument on the street or indicate where it is possible to buy an object. Self-learning, it will be able to adapt to your needs.
In addition, the fingerprint reader present on high-end smartphones is sometimes debated. Some people praise its ease of use and safety when others are reluctant to provide such information to a private company. The Galaxy S8 will not reconcile the clans. Samsung has, in fact, decided to go even further in the all safe. To the fingerprint reader is now added the iris scanner, already present on the Galaxy Note 7, and facial recognition. So now it is enough to look at his smartphone so that it will unblock instantly.
