New Leader After Just 20 Months On The Market

Los Angeles- After a war that was many ways anti climatic in the marketplace, Nintendo has declared themselves the winners of the video game console race, and they have the sales to prove their case.

Wii has sold over 10 million units in the United States alone, and it sold over 650,000 units in the month of June 2008 along, which was more than enough to propel it past Microsoft’s Xbox 360 game console.

The Xbox 360 had nearly a year of a head start and comes on the heels of about two generations of Play station consoles that have led the market.

Nintendo has worked hard, and it properly identified some keys to the new changing marketplace that allowed it to pass both Sony and their PS3, and Microsoft and their Xbox 360.

One, many gamers have given up gaming and moved on as they grew older.

Nintendo sought to discover why, and worked to adjust game titles, and controller function to help make them more user and older generation friendly.

The other thing that Nintendo has done is simplifying many of its games, so that they have a broad appeal.

These two moves have helped Nintendo and its “Wii game console” into first place in sales in the United States.
