Boston (EON) – Bilzzard made the amazing announcement today that World of Warcraft, their historic massively multiplayer role playing game, has reached 9 million subscriptions globally.

This is up one million from the last time which Bilzzard published the numbers. This is extremely impressive as all 9 million are paid and active subscriptions going on as we speak all around the world in the US, China, and abroad.

World of Warcraft continues its amazing success and the belief is that it is only going to get better as the expansion pack to the World of Warcraft which was released in North America back in February, The Burning Crusade, will release in mainland China very very soon.
