Woodstock – The search continues to find eight-year-old Victoria Stafford, who disappeared months ago while walking home from school. The girl, commonly called Tori, was last seen on security camera with a young woman, who was leading her away.
Despite progress on other fronts of the investigation, including the arrests of a man and woman, who have both been indicted with kidnapping and murder, one key component is still missing: the little girl herself. Though investigators have enough evidence to substantiate a murder charge, they have had trouble locating the girl’s body.
To help the process, Tori’s story has already appeared on America’s Most Wanted, and now authorities have opened a tip line to accept leads from the public. With this, investigators are hopeful that they will be able to find some new information that could lead them to Tori’s remains.
Even as the search continues and prosecutors continue building their case against the two suspects, Tori’s family is trying to move on. The family held a memorial service for the little girl, which was attended by about 800 people who wished to pay respects to the vibrant little girl and support the grieving family as they try to accept their loss.
