World Famous Physicist Will Visit But Denies Intention To Relocate
Toronto – It appears that Stephen Hawking, the world-renowned physicist will not be moving to Canada after all.
Cambridge University released a statement that was approved by Hawking saying; “Stephen Hawking does not plan to leave Cambridge University,†said Peter Haynes.
Peter Haynes is the Cambridge University Department Head where Hawking’s works.
There were numerous reports over the last several days that the Physicist was unhappy with the lack of scientific funding in Britain and that he was considering a move to Ontario to continue his work at the Perimeter Institute in Theoretical Physics.
It is reported that Stephen Hawking will visit Ontario, and the Perimeter Institute sometime later this year, but he has no plans to move or leave Cambridge University at this time.
In a letter to the UK government earlier this year Stephen Hawking stated his frustration at the lack for scientific funding and that there would be serious and drastic results from the lack of money in scientific circles.
This has led many to hope that Stephen Hawking would consider moving to Canada, and working there.
But at this time it appears for the near future that Mr. Hawking will remain in Britain at Cambridge University.
