60 Year Old Electrician Tries To Electrocute His Wife And Flees Police

Oshawa - A man who works as an electrician in the Oshawa area tried to use the family shower to electrocute his wife, and then fled police leading them on a high-speed chase.

The Regional Police in Durham state that the suspect, who is 60 years old but whose name is not yet being released attempted to kill his wife using electrical connections to their shower.

The man connected some of the wiring in the house to the shower in such a way as to try and electrocute his wife.

The wife suffered severe electric shocks while trying to adjust the shower temperature while showering on Sunday. She later discovered part of the wall missing and saw the wires connected to the shower faucet and shower stall.

When the woman confronted her husband he flew into a rage, and attempted to choke her into submission. After she collapsed he fled the scene, taking the family car and raced away.

The woman summoned police who then took up chasing the man on the local highway.

At times the high-speed chase reached speeds of 105 miles an hour, but eventually they were able to cut off his escape, and the man was arrested.

In the vehicle was a note that said: “I am sorry this is not your fault, you are a good woman and deserved better than me.”

The police have charged the man with mischief, aggravated assault, and endangering a life. In addition he has been charged with causing bodily harm and failing to stop for police officers.
