Toronto – Commuters using the Scarbrough Rapid Transit line should have an easier ride in to work this morning.
There was no service on the line yesterday due to signal problems on the line between Kennedy and McCowan stations.
The TTC says that the problem was caused by snow on the power rails. Shuttle bus service was used all day to accomodate passengers travelling between those stations.
Meanwhile the TTC is expected to unveil service improvements as part of a $22-million enhancement announcement. The money was announced in the city’s proposed 2008 operating budget and comes from part of the revenue raised in last November’s fare increase.
Today’s announcement will provide details of which bus and streetcar routes will be improved, extended or changed all together.
