Toronto – Toronto police say three people are facing charges in connection with an international human trafficking ring, in which women `lured’ from Eastern Europe were forced to work as prostitutes.
Police say the victims came to Canada with false passports under the pretext of working as models.
Investigators say they were tipped off about the operation on Thursday and with help from York Regional Police, searched several residences and arrested six people.
Of the 6, three people — all men in their 30′s — have been charged.
