Toronto - Dalton Mcguinty has a new name for the oposition leaders. He made fun of the Opposition leaders who teamed up during Thursday’s debate. Dalton McGuinty compared the two to Hollywood glam couples like “Bennifer” and “Brangelina.”
“Last night I got to meet the latest glam couple, Howard and John or as they are now affectionately know in the hearts of Ontarians; HoJo,” McGuinty said at a morning rally in Vaughan.
When asked who won the debate, McGuinty answered, “The people of Ontario.”
Despite taking a 90 minute beating during the debate, McGuinty stressed he was successful in putting his positive proposals forward and the Opposition leaders sold themselves short by spending the entire time attacking him.
Meanwhile, at a Womens Executive Network luncheon, the Premier promised to do more for working women and mothers.
“We have decided to make fertility monitoring available earlier as part of a woman’s annual check-up, should she choose it. We will also bring together an expert panel to look at the issues surrounding fertility and adoption.”
The Liberal leader is also pledging to provide HPV vaccines for girls in Grade 8 and increase breast cancer screening rates.
