Toronto – A two year old boy has died after falling from an eleventh floor balcony. Emergency crews were called to 275 Shuter Street shortly after 8 am.

The child was taken to Hospital for Sick Children with life threatening injuries before succumbing to them.

Neighbours say the boy had climbed up on some bikes on the balcony before plunging to his death but police won’t confim if that resulted in his fall.

It’s the eleventh incident this year and the second death where a young child has been treated for injuries after a fall from an apartment building. Parents are being asked not to let their children out of their sight.
