Students at Ward’s Island School in Toronto will be in school on the ground Friday, because of the “risk of flooding,” says the Toronto Public School Board.
The students were transferred to the Nelson-Mandela school.

In addition, the ferry service to Central Island and Hanlan’s Point was suspended.
John Tory, the Mayor of Toronto visited the islands on Friday afternoon to assess the situation and meet with residents.
According to him, 3000 bags of sand were brought on the spot.
