Other Robberies Are Believed To Have Been Committed

Vancouver, B.C.- The police in Vancouver are asking the general public to come forward with any information that they may have on a series of different robberies in the region.

Vancouver Police believe that they have linked two or more different robberies in the area with a brazen purse snatching that occurred recently in broad daylight.

The thief is someone that is apparently targeting the elderly and older people of Vancouver, and all of his victims appear to be members of the elderly community.

The last two weeks have seen 7 women that have been robbed, 6 of the women were Asian and one was a white woman.

Several of the women were either middle aged or older, and they were all robbed, some of them outside in plain daylight, according to Superintendent Rob Rothwell, a member of the Vancouver Police Department.

The attacks have all occurred between 830am and 5:30pm, most of them taking place in side streets or alleys.

The thief is described to be a dark skinned man of medium build and short dark hair.
