Burnaby Richmond And Vancouver Have Most VisiblePopulations

Vancouver- If you are visiting or traveling to Canada for business or pleasure, the likelihood that you will see people belonging to minorities has risen sharply.
If you are visiting in Richmond, Burnaby or Vancouver you are more likely to see a person that is a minority member, than you are to see someone who is not a minority. The Canadian Statistics census data was released Tuesday and they show that the number of people that are members of a minority groups in Canada has soared past what it was even a few years ago.
In a census of the Metropolitan area of Vancouver that was made up of Coquitlam, Surrey, Burnaby, Richmond, and Vancouver itself, the survey showed that area is home to the second highest amount of visible minorities in Canada.
Most of the minority population currently in the Vancouver area was born outside of Canada. Nearly sixty percent of the visible minority population has traveled to Vancouver and to the region sometime in the last fifteen years.
The Chinese population appears to be the largest minority group, with an estimated 381, 500 members. This amount is thought to be about 18.2 percent of the total regions population.
