Costa Concordia Cruise Line…The Italian Titanic

The Costa Concordia cruise line sank on the first night of a Mediterranean cruise.

When the ship sank the majority of its passengers and the crew were able to get to land via lifeboats, rescue helicopters and swimming ashore.

Unfortunately, there are about seventy passengers that are still missing. Divers are doing their best and searching every cabin looking for these missing people. Although they are still searching, some believe that they may have reached land and are staying at a local hotel.

The damage to the ship is quite severe. This was a very horrible event that resulted in three fatalities so far. Forty passengers were in shock and had to go to the hospital. Some are blaming the crew members for this disaster.

It has been said that a drill was delayed. Passengers heard many noises from the ship that sounded like it hit something.

Even when the ship was taking in water, the crew never told passengers how to evacuate the ship. The drill was delayed to Saturday afternoon that was too late for this Friday incident.

Many of its passengers have compared the sunken Costa Concordia cruise line to the Titanic. Luckily, most of them were able to get to shore with minor injuries.
