
Washington – Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama has continued his overseas tour by meeting with the president of Afghanistan, Hamid Karzai.
He pleadged to bring aid to Afghanistan during their talks on Sunday, and vowed to pursue the war on terror if he is elected president of the United States.
This was the second day of Obama’s international tour, which is designed to showcase his power and poise in regards to foreign policy.
Obama did not make any public comment after the meeting. He did meet with U.S. troops though, stating he is proud of them.
The Afghan president said the message from Obama was positive. he stated, Obama showed he is “committed to supporting Afghanistan and to continue the war aggainst terrorism with vigor.”
