Toronto Pakistan’s Opposition Leader, Benazir Bhutto was remembered at a special service at the Mississauga Muslim Community Centre this afternoon on 2505 Dixie Ave west.The People’s Party of Pakistan organized the memorial and prayer service, in which hundreds attended.

“The impact has spread worldwide,” said Imran Chaudhery, President of The People’s Party of Pakistan.

Members from other ethnic communities also grieved Bhutto’s death.

“I’m a Chinese Canadian but I have lots of friends from the Pakistani community,” says Aimin Li, a resident in West-end Toronto. “So I’m here to show my respects and share the grief with the rest of the community.”

A second memorial service is set to take place in Toronto at Queens Park on Sunday around four o’clock.
