Washington – Former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto has been killed in a suicide attack after a political rally in Rawalpindi.
Initial reports say Bhutto was not injured in the bombing attack that killed at least 20 people and left many others injured. However, there are conflicting reports about how Bhutto was killed. Some reports suggest she was shot in the neck and chest while others say she died from injuries suffered in the suicide bombing.
Witnesses say the bomber struck shortly after opposition leader Benazir Bhutto addressed a political rally in the city.
