Washington – A foiled terrorist plot allegedly involving planned attacks on US military installations in Germany poses no domestic threat to the United States, the government said Wednesday.
US law enforcement officials coordinated closely with German authorities in the probe that led to the arrest of three suspects Tuesday in Germany, FBI spokesman Rich Kolko said.
The FBI and the US Homeland Security Department are “monitoring the situation in Germany” but “see no imminent threat to the US domestically following these arrests,” Kolko said in a statement.
US officials declined comment on details of the case, but Kolko praised “the productive relationship we have with our German law enforcement and intelligence community partners.”
